Hello! I am the project director of Demian Saga.
It’s great to finally have the chance to reach out to the community for the first time since the game was launched.
Before we start, I would like to express my gratitude to all our players that are here with us at our 100-day anniversary. Your encouragements and honest opinions are what give us the strength to continue this voyage.
I come to you here today with this developer’s note to address concerns many players share and suggestions we’ve received.
Without further ado, let’s get to it.
■ Regarding Hero Balance Adjustments
The team wishes for the players of Demian Saga to truly enjoy the game. To achieve this, we regularly add new content and are reviewing the balancing of existing content.
We especially want our players to find a use for all characters and have decided to enhance the performance of Heroes that were thought to be underwhelming.
We sincerely hope that this update enables players to come up with various new tactics and find new joy in the game.
■ Content Reward Adjustments
This update will bring lots of changes to the content rewards.
Ever since the game was released, we have carried out several improvements to the rewards, but unfortunately, this set up a new standard that is giving us trouble to further adjust the rewards for existing content and assessing the right amount of rewards for new content.
Because of this, we have made the difficult decision to lower the rewards and we humbly ask for your understanding regarding this. For the decreased rewards, we are looking into options that will make up for the changes such as in-game events, community events, coupons and more.
■ Delay On Game Issue Fixes
Many players have sent us feedback via various routes about the issue of Nakuru’s and Obelisk’s Ultimate Skill not being applied to certain Heroes properly. We were well aware of the issue and have been focusing on recreating the issue.
To provide some explanation, this issue occurred when Regner would use her Skill 2 [Axe Throw] right before being hit by Nakuru's Ultimate Skill. Due to the animation for [Axe Throw] being locked in, this caused Regner to unintentionally break out of the neutralized state.
It took some time to resolve the issue, but we have identified a possible cause and will be deploying a fix through this update. We sincerely apologize for the long wait.
However, there still remains the issue of other Heroes being able to act after being hit by Nakuru's Ultimate Skill or after the activation of Obelisk's Ultimate Skill. We're investigating the issue and are working hard to deploy a fix as soon as possible.
Also, we are aware of the issue where Pho would be inactive under certain situations and are investigating it. Unfortunately, we will require more time to fix the cause and conduct tests. We’ll notify you about the fix through a patch note once we fix the issue.
The development team is listening closely to the feedback and error reports you send our way. We will do our best to continue improving the game.
■ Adding a Feature or Item to Reset Soul Gear, Talent, and Ascension
We have received a lot of feedback to make it possible to reset the progressions made on Heroes, not being limited to the level, but also including Ascension, Talent, and Soul Gear.
We understand the troubles of working hard to progress a Hero and find out that the performance doesn’t meet the expectations.
The team is actively discussing ideas of how to implement the features to make this possible. We will let out a separate notice once we make a decision on how to approach the matter.
■ Improving the Link System
The Link System is also something we receive a lot of feedback about.
Along with the Hero progression reset, this is also something the team is actively discussing ideas for improvement. Unfortunately, this is being delayed as we have had our plate full since launch trying to stabilize the service, balancing the Heroes and content, and adding new content.
We will be making this a priority and aim to release the improvements in August. Rather than trying new methods, we plan on making improvements in a way many of the players would be familiar with.
■ Union Invasion Matching and Rewards
As you may know, the Union Invasion is a content in its “Beta” state, and we’ve been focused on how to make it better and more enjoyable.
We’ve improved the matchmaking to make the game mode more competitive and enjoyable, and now we’ve shifted our focus to adjusting the rewards to make it match the level of competition.
There’s a lot we’d like to say, but I’ll save it for another Developer’s Note that will be released later on. Now it’s time for a little sneak peek of what’s to come.
■ Upcoming Contents
In August we will be able to reveal the Hero Skins many of you have asked us to add. We are preparing a variety of concepts to show different shades of the Heroes.
There’s more that we have on slate and while we would love to share more with you today, it’ll have to wait for another time as we’re still working hard preparing them.
Before we end the Developer’s Note today, I would like to speak on behalf of the team and thank you all for playing and caring for Demian Saga. We promise to do our best to only make the game better. We will return again with another Developer’s Note in the future.
Thank you.
